Use Salicylic Acid Cleanser
Salicylic Acid is known to be a magical ingredient in treating the various oily skin issues and it helps in getting rid of blackheads too.
So, how a salicylic acid cleanser works?
The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of Salicylic Acid control excessive oil production and help in removing all the dirt that clogged the pores. And, if the pores are clean you won’t face blackheads.
Pro-tip: make sure you’re not washing your face more than twice a day as over-washing will lead to more oil production and excessive oil will lead to blackheads.
Chemical Exfoliation
If your skin is constantly attacked by blackheads exfoliation is a must. Till now we all are familiar with the physical exfoliation but chemical exfoliation is known to be a more beneficial type of exfoliation.
Chemical exfoliation not only works on the upper layer of the skin but also targets the root cause of the problem thus tackling the problem in a much better way. There two types of chemical exfoliators namely-
• AHA-Alpha Hydroxy Acid: Glycolic Acid and Lactic acid
• BHA- Beta Hydroxy Acid: Salicylic Acid
Pro-tip: chemical exfoliation on the skin should be done once a week and if you’ll be doing this the very first time make sure you do a patch test before.
Use Non-Comedogenic Products
Non-Comedogenic products are the products that do not clog the pores. And, we all know if pores are not clogged we’ll not see any blackheads eruption. “Comedo” is a term that means blocked pore and non-comedogenic means the ingredients that will not block your pores.
Make sure whenever you buy a skincare or makeup product always look for non-comedogenic written on the carton. To get rid of blackheads you must use non-comedogenic products.
Avoid Over Layering
Over layering is another odd habit that damages our pores and clogs them. Even if you’re using a skincare product we would recommend you not to over layer too much as rather than doing any benefit it’s clogging your pores filling them with dirt.
Use mild products and not the harsh ones as it can even damage the skin’s barrier. Remember you don’t have to use 10 products to make your skincare sound effective rather use minimal products that benefit your skin.
Use Clay Mask
Clay mask helps in controlling the excessive oil production and removing the blackheads. So, if you constantly suffer from blackheads using a clay mask once a week is a must. There are various types of clay masks available and each one is formulated for different skin types. So, according to your skin type choose the right type of clay mask.
