Growing out your nails can take days if not months, and all the extra efforts or patience you put in to grow them comes crashing down the minute your nail split or break. This is a very common issue among those who have brittle and weak nails. It might not be as common as hair fall, but it most definitely is an issue that needs resolving. These aren’t the only issues we have to deal with; yellowish appearance on the nails is also a cause of worry.
While your nails might not need as much attention or tending as your hair or skin needs, it doesn’t mean you should do nothing about the issues you are currently facing with your nails. Every beauty issue needs some resolving, and just because it’s your nails in question, you cannot risk being carefree. If you have been facing some issues with your nails and seeking help to fix them, consider yourself lucky as we will be addressing some of the most common nail issues in this article and tell you about all the hacks you can use to deal with those issues.
Say bye-bye to yellow nails
Our nails remain coated with pretty nail colors for the majority of the time, and while your painted nails may appear prettier from the outside, you don’t really know what’s happening beneath that layer of nail polish. If you have ever noticed yellow stains on your nails, take it as a sign you have been doing something wrong. The most common reason for the appearance of yellow stains on your nails can be attributed to wearing any nail polish for an extended period or using a dark nail color. You can prevent that from happening by applying a base coat to your nails before wearing your nail color. You can also get rid of yellow stains by applying a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide on your nails.
Prevent your nail polish from chipping
If your nail polish gets chipped just after two to three days of applying it, you might want to try this hack. After applying two coats of nail polish to your nails, dip them in a bowl containing cold water for a couple of minutes. In addition to making your nail polish long-lasting, this hack will also give your nails a gel-like finish.
Keep the mess at bay with vaseline
Keeping your nail polish application mess-free is next to impossible. Some mistakes can happen in the process, especially when you are applying the nail polish from your non-dominant hand. Applying nail polish can be a tedious job, and you don’t want to do anything that can ruin it. The easiest way to take care of this problem and make your nail polish application mess-free is to use vaseline. Apply a layer of vaseline around your nails before applying your nail color. This will make sure that you get rid of all the mess made in the process easily.
A fuss-free way to remove glitter nail polish
As much as we love flaunting glitter nail polish on our hands, there’s also no denying that getting rid of such nail polishes is a lot harder than you expect them to be. But that doesn’t mean you should stop wearing such pretty nail paint, especially when we have just found a fuss-free way to get rid of glitter nail polish. Place nail polish remover dipped cotton pads on the top of your each nail and after that, cover each one of your nails separately with aluminum foil. After waiting for a couple of minutes, you can take off the foil and the cotton pad and you will notice your nail polish has also come off with it.
